My defination of culture is people of different races and backgrounds not necessarily one type of people. I believe is that so many people may still have unresolved thoughts or behaviors that are still happening in their lives. In a church building they feel that maybe the pastor etc.. is looking at them and perhaps in their own mind feels, "he knows" and then they feel guilty. When in reality that pastor is no different then the flock that comes to listen.
I have known Christians that are still heavily involved in adultrey, drugs, drinking, etc...and yet they Love Jesus, but still struggle with these behaviors. I think "The Body of Christ are the People not necessarily a building". My Christian Life today is not about going to church although I think that is wonderful. It's about being authentic and real and speaking to God with everything I may struggle with. Accepting his unconditional love as the The quotes from the bible. "I am the Apple of his Eye", "I am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made", "I am his Treasured Posession". Being in agreement with what he says about us. It has nothing to do with us but everything to do about him. It is a Transformation of old ways of thinking and patterns to a renewal of the mind daily. Being a Christian is not phony, but real, not being one way in a church, but then treating strangers poorly or yelling at the kids or wife. It's continually yielding and surrending to the Holy Spirit within us, and letting him to the work. It's about being aware of how you treat people who are not very nice. Being aware of what we are thinking and having the power to cast down destructive thoughts if we choose. I could go on and on. But thank you for the opportunity to express myself. Love, Laura.

That is my point Roqui, the church should be different than the world. The church if truly Christ Like should be ambassadors for Christ, therefore sharing the love of Christ. You are awesome. Thanks for the comment.

We all live with elephants, and it's never easy to address our faults. Personally, it is a relief to me to know that God will love me, even if the rest of the world is judging me or hating me. God always has my back. Amen!

One of the most "missed" blessings I see in today's Christian is not recognizing the examples that Christ set for us in his day to day ministry. It's true he came to die and reconcile us to God the Father, but that is only part of why he came. He says "I have come to give life, and a life more abundant". I don't believe he was talking about our life after death. I'm convinced he meant "If you follow my example, your life will be more blessed and abundantly fulfilled.
